Mehul & Sejal – Wedding part 1

Hello everyone.  Thought I start off the week with a fresh new blog update for you all to enjoy.  Remember that incredible Vintage style E-session for Mehul & Sejal posted on the blog a while back?  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, click here immediately and check it out.  Seriously, it’s my favorite E-session that I’ve done to date, and it’s also the most talked about and praised session that I have on the website.  Both Sejal and Mehul were completely dedicated to getting their images in a new and unique way, and were open to all of my suggestions without any hesitations… therefore becoming one of my favorite couples that I have worked with thus far.  So if you haven’t seen it, check it out stat.  Having an E-session usually means that a wedding is to follow with that couple, so now I get the distinct pleasure to bring you Sejal & Mehul’s wedding.  Now I have to say, this wedding was probably the biggest wedding I covered last year, meaning there were a lot of different events, multiple days, and ton of pictures.  Infact, it’s so grand, that I had to split it up into two sections to post on the blog.  Now for 2011, I am trying to limit the amount of images I post on the blog, just to make it easier to navigate through it.  However, there were so many great photos in this wedding, there was no way I could enforce the new limit for this particular post.  This was a traditional Hindu wedding with a Vihidi ceremony the day before the wedding, followed by a Garba.  This post will include the images for the day before the wedding, and part 2 will showcase images from the actual wedding day.  Without further delay, I present you part 1:

Justin & Remmi – Wedding

You may recall the wonderful outdoor E-session that was featured on the blog not too long ago. As promised, I now bring you the wedding that followed a few days after. Justin and Remmi had a Sikh wedding ceremony in the morning. This was the first photo session where I shot a ceremony with a bandanna on my head, and socks on my feet. To be honest, it was quite relaxing, and I wish I could shoot more weddings this way 🙂 We followed that with a Jain ceremony, which was quite personal and very family oriented. After we had lunch and a mini break, the reception was in full effect, and the real party began. There are quite a lot of images on this one, so I’ll stop writing, and let you enjoy this glorious wedding. Justin and Remmi, thank you again for allowing me to be part of your special day.

Dev & Jiya – Welcome home + Reception

You may remember the E-session of Dev & Jiya from a while back.  If not, be sure to check it out here.  Very soon after, Dev’s family held a nice little welcome home ceremony for Jiya.  It was a great way to introduce the new bride to the groom’s community, but also for her to feel welcomed home.  Judging by that wonderful smile on Jiya, I’m pretty sure she was very happy to be there.  The day after, Dev had the actual celebration party at the reception.  Everything was decked out in Carolina Blue (their Alma mater), and we were ready to get the party started.  There was great food, great fun, and lots of dancing involved.  Check out the pictures below for the full scoop.
