Hello everyone. Summer is officially here, and with it comes new posts on Limon Photography. Today I bring you the mehndi and wedding of Farah & Raza. I’ve worked with Farah’s brother Anjum since High School, so I’ve known Farah and her family since then. When I first started my photography career, I had a very select few friends who were not only supportive, but were dedicated fans. These friends not only liked all my work, but constantly told me that when the time came, they would hire me for their wedding. Farah was one of these friends, and told me that I would be photographing her wedding back in 2007. Seven years later, the time had finally come, and I was more than thrilled to still get the call to come shoot her wedding. When I finally got to meet Raza, I saw the natural charisma and kindness in him, and knew instantly that he was a perfect match for Farah. I feel very honored to have been chosen to document such a special day for Farah & Raza after all these years, and I couldn’t be happier for the lovely couple. Without further ado, I bring you some of the moments from their wedding.
Here’s the first blog post on the new site, and it’s a pretty awesome one if I say so myself. Today, I bring you an extended E-session for Faisal & Aiman. I’ve known Faisal since the college days, and he’s become a great friend over the years. Both of these love birds met at one of my other friend’s wedding, and the rest is history. Faisal being the nice guy he is, wanted to do something extra special for his lady for their engagement session, and what better place to do an E-session than NYC. We went around a few places, and got some neat photos. If you don’t believe me, check them out yourself below. Be sure to hit the like button, share the set with all of your friends, pin the photos to your pinterest boards, and leave some love in the comments section below. Not only will it boost my ego, but it will let me know that the new site is at least working.
Happy holidays everyone! 2013 is almost over, and 2014 is right around the corner. With the new year almost here, I’m taking a new approach to everything in my life… from my personal life as well as my business. I want 2014 to resonate a change in everything I do, to make things better, faster, and way more exciting than ever before. Personally, I’m moving to a new city, making new friends, hopefully finding the love of my life, and finally getting into shape (no really, it’s true this time). Professionally, I’m moving to a much larger city, covering a wider range of clients, establishing new systems, speeding up workflow to deliver products even faster, working additionally with my commercial video company, and trying to get into the video/film world while maintaining a photography business. In other words, I have a full plate ahead of me, and I’m ready to tackle it all!
With all these changes, I decided that a new website was a must. I wanted a new site to not only bring about a new change, but to make things easier and more efficient for all of you. Gone are the days of Flash, as this new site runs on HTML5. This means that you don’t need the latest version of Adobe flash player to view the site at all. On top of that, the website and the blog will run effortlessly on your tablets and/or mobile devices.
Although this is a brand new site, the style and overall features will feel quite familiar to my previous sites. You can browse photos from the home page as well as the portfolio section, and get all the necessary information on the other tabs. You can also visit the facebook page, twitter, as well as pinterest page from anywhere on the site by simply clicking on the icons.
The blog has loads of improvements over the old one. From now on, there will be fewer images on the blog, and they will load much faster. Hovering over the images, you’ll notice a “P”, which is a Pin-it button. Clicking on this will let you pin any of the photos directly to your pinterest pin-board! You can also like an image by clicking on the heart on the top left. You know that couple looks too darn cute, go ahead, just like it already.
In addition, you can now directly like a post on the blog, share them through various social media outlets, leave your comments, as well as like our facebook page all the way at the bottom. Go ahead, give it a try!
Hope you guys like this third revision of the website. I promise to post a lot more stories, and try my best to make the overall web experience a lot more exciting. If you have any questions or see something not working out for you, shoot me a message from the “contact” section. Be sure to like us on Facebook as if you haven’t done so already. I want to thank and send a special shout-out to Tim and the team at Rawfolio for working with me continuously to make this website possible. I highly recommend these guys if you’re in need of a website, so give them a shout if you’re in the market.
