Today I bring you the wedding of Sarah and Adam, a wedding that’s very special and dear to my heart. Sarah and my little brother went to undergrad together, and I had the privilege of meeting her through him. Sarah is a truly amazing human being, and there are no words to really describe what an awesome person she is. There was a point of my life where I was in desperate need of help, and even without ever meeting me in person, Sarah came to my aid, and helped me out in a very stressful situation. She has a heart of gold, and is very rare to find someone as caring or compassionate as her. After becoming friends with Sarah, I quickly had the opportunity to meet her boyfriend Adam, who was not only one of the most down to earth person I’ve ever encountered, but was just as caring and compassionate as her. Adam is also very smooth, as in he was able to charm Sarah by asking her to study with him at law school. Spending just five minutes with Sarah and Adam will make it very apparent that these two are as perfect of a couple as it gets, and are truly meant for each other. Last weekend, these two finally tied the knot in Sarah’s hometown of Philadelphia. The wedding took place at the beautiful Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts museum, which was a first for me. This wedding was really fun, and a good majority of the event consisted of non-stop dancing. Seriously, this crowd really knows how to party! I could go on and on about what an amazing wedding this was, how they served philly cheesesteaks during cocktail hour, how Sarah’s Grandpa rocked the house by playing the saxophone, and how there were tons of really great moments… but I rather just let you scroll through the photos below and see for yourself. As always, feel free to leave some love by joining the Facebook page, leaving a comment, or clicking the heart button on any photo.
Today I bring you the wedding of Haedar and Fereshteh. I met these two at a friend’s surprise birthday party two years ago, which also happens to be the same night they met each other for the first time. Being the Science nerds that they are, they immediately formed a deep connection, and realized that they had each found their other half. Soon after, these two were engaged to be married, and the rest was history in the making. Although we all live in New York, the wedding was held near Washington DC, and consisted of never ending celebration that Middle-Easterners are well known for. This was my first Persian / Iraqi wedding, and I loved every moment of it. Although the weather was not on our side, the wedding was very heartfelt and intimate with close family and friends. The decoration was charming, the food was spectacular, and the festivities went all night long. One thing is for certain, this group is all about dancing! I’ve covered a lot of wedding over the years, but this wedding officially had the most amount of dancing, as in non-stop since the couple made their official entrance!
Overall, this was a really great wedding, and I had a lot of fun working with this lovely couple. Scroll below, and check out some of the highlights from Haedar and Fereshteh’s wedding. As always, don’t forget to follow the Facebook page, and leave some love if you like what you see 🙂
Wedding season has officially started, and with it, I bring you a post of epic proportions! One of my absolute favorite things to hear is when friends tell me that they love my work, and really support me in what I do. I’ve had a lot of friends who loved my work, said they want to hire me for their wedding, and actually followed through with that commitment. To me, that has the most significance, and means the world to me. Sean and Nazia are a classic case of this. They are not only fans of my work, but have told me on several occasions that they would one day love to have a photo session with me. Now normally I would have loved to have shot their wedding, but these two lovebirds actually got married before I officially started shooting professionally! Nazia still told me that she loved my work, and would find a way to work with me someday. Fast forward 10 years, and that opportunity was finally here, as the couple was about to celebrate their 10 year anniversary! I’ve grown up with these two, and have known them for a long time, so I was very excited to photograph their anniversary. We went out and got some pretty awesome moments the day before (yes, even some Bollywood style moments in a field of flowers), and got some nicer moments the day after for the anniversary. I could sit here and talk about how photogenic and great these two are, but instead, I’ll just show you the photos! Scroll below, and check out some of the awesome moments from that weekend!
