Daniel & Laura E-Session

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel & Laura on an engagement session back in November.  The location of this shoot was a first for me.  Daniel works at a golf course, so he suggested that we incorporate the golf course somehow.  I’m open to new ideas and challenges, so I decided to shoot the whole thing at the golf course and surrounding areas.  We shot some posed shots here and there, and then decided to play a game of golf.  Loser had to buy dinner 🙂  We all had a great time.  The weather was very peculiar this day as well.  It was very sunny and seemed like any other day, but the actual temperature was more like 15 degrees.  although it was perfectly sunny all around, at one point in the middle of the shoot, it started snowing.  We were all quite cold, but we all managed to get some great pictures out of the weather… as well as enjoy a fun game of golf.

It snowed very briefly at this point!

Caught them off guard trying to stay warm

Laura Bridal Session

Happy New Years Everyone!

Following are some images from Laura’s bridal session.  We decided to hit up Duke gardens and try to get some creative shots.  Laura brought along her daughter (who was the flower girl at her wedding), and we all had a great time.  The last bamboo shot of her is still one of my all time favorite Bridal shots I have taken.

Jacob & Rebecca E-Session

Jacob & Rebecca are possibly the nicest couple I have worked with thus far.  My clients do become my friends, and this couple is the perfect example.  Jacob had actually made the initial contact and setup the first meeting.  This was a bit strange since it’s the girl that almost always contacts the photographer.  However, later I found out that Jake was actually taking charge of doing a lot of the work, just so it would be less stressful for the Becca.  What a nice guy.  When I finally met them for the first time, I immediately knew that it would be a pleasure working with them.

They are both students, and were on a tight budget for the whole wedding.  The venue they had booked for the wedding was a gorgeous house that Jake’s friend currently owns.  For their Engagement session, we decided to use the same house and some surrounding areas.  This session was fun, because we were all just goofing off, and I pretty much got a tour of the incredible house along the way.  All in all, this was one of my favorite E-sessions.
