Justin & Remmi – E-session

I promised to have 3 new posts up this weekend, so I bring you the final post for this weekend, featuring the latest e-session I did for Justin & Remmi.  Both Justin and Remmi work/study on the opposite sides of the east coast, so they rarely get to see each other.  Matter of fact, because of their busy schedule, I met them for the very first time at this e-session.  It was a bit strange seeing them at first because both Justin and Remmi look quite similar to two friends that I have.  Remmi looks very similar to my friend Amanda, while Justin looks a lot like my friend Usman… so during the engagement session, it was a bit weird since I can’t ever imagine those 2 friends of mine together.  Nevertheless, I got past the resemblance very quickly, and we went to work.   We went around an arboretum to get some fun shots, and went to a lake to get some nice fall colors.  These two were natural in front of the camera, and we all had a grand time.  So without further delay, I bring you the E-session.  The wedding will be featured soon, so don’t forget to bookmark and check back.

My favorite shot 🙂

Dev & Jiya – Welcome home + Reception

You may remember the E-session of Dev & Jiya from a while back.  If not, be sure to check it out here.  Very soon after, Dev’s family held a nice little welcome home ceremony for Jiya.  It was a great way to introduce the new bride to the groom’s community, but also for her to feel welcomed home.  Judging by that wonderful smile on Jiya, I’m pretty sure she was very happy to be there.  The day after, Dev had the actual celebration party at the reception.  Everything was decked out in Carolina Blue (their Alma mater), and we were ready to get the party started.  There was great food, great fun, and lots of dancing involved.  Check out the pictures below for the full scoop.

Sal & Shati – Couples Session + Wedding

This wedding is an oldie, but I thought I share it with you nevertheless.  Sal is a friend of Sajid (who’s wedding will also be posted in the very near future), and contacted me regarding his wedding in NY.  He was going to wed his long time sweetheart Shati in the traditional Bangladeshi style, and I was happy to help them get some photographs to document the day.  After the wedding, we decided to do a couples session.  This was around the fall season, so we thought it would be nice to do the couples session outdoors at central park.  However, the weather was absolutely terrible, so we quickly moved into the MET and improvised a few shots there.  Both Sal and Shati are a great couple, and I had a lot of fun working with them. Onward to the pictures:

Yes, that’s a pair of sharp scissors next to his face!

I love this shot because everyone knows I’m taking this picture, yet not a single person is looking towards me
